…and a dog with stomach issues.
Amy drove back to Winona during the day on Friday. I was completely wiped out when I got home from work so I heated up leftovers and then bundled up and fell asleep on the couch.
Scout woke us up three times during the night to go outside so we slowly rolled out of bed Saturday morning. We were on the road at 9:15 to bring Megan back to Iowa.
We picked up lunch, hauled her things into her dorm, and then ate together before making the trek back home. Scout enjoyed dorm life. Soooo many things to get into!
I decided to do my yoga practice before dinner, but the combination of deep breathing and all of the junk I had eaten all day threw my body into a tailspin. I developed a terrible headache and upset stomach and crawled right into bed. I did get up a little later but only lasted about an hour before I was back in bed.
I felt much better Sunday so I took on the laundry and cleaned both girl’s bedrooms and the bathroom. After that, I did my Day Six (!!!) yoga practice, got dressed, and went grocery shopping.
It was above zero for the first time in what felt like weeks!
And if that wasn’t exciting enough, this is what I saw when I pulled into the parking lot.
It just doesn’t get much better than that.
I guess that was about it for the weekend. Scout seems to be doing better after a diet of ground beef and rice, and we managed to finish our weekend chores even with a road trip thrown in. I hope your week is off to a good start, and you are enjoying some warmer weather too!
